Tesla can sell autopilot software on a subscription basis

If you bought a Netflix subscription, so you have an idea of how it works. Suffice it to say that subscription-based software access is the latest trend in the industry and generates money for developers. In principle, a subscription means legalizing that software cannot be purchased, but simply rented.
This is the direction in which American electric car manufacturer Tesla is now moving, and it could mean a paradigm shift for the auto industry. As such, Tesla plans to expand its software offering, including offering a full Suite of subscription-based Autonomous driving systems, Electrek reports.
